On March 1, 1975, Ronald Reagan called for a “revitalized” Republican Party, “raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people.” (Ronald Reagan, speech to the 1975 Conservative Political Action Conference).
In 2008 as in 1975, it remains necessary to boldly and proudly raise the Republican banner. And Steve Beren, the Republican candidate for congress in Washington State’s 7th congressional district, is doing just that - promoting Republican policies, free market solutions, constitutional principles, and conservative values right in the heart of Seattle and King County. His goal is to increase GOP turnout in Seattle and King County.
Steve Beren appeared briefly on Fox News Channel ("Special Report with Brit Hume") on Tuesday June 23 (see video link below). There are six candidates on the ballot in the race, but Steve Beren is the only Republican candidate in the race. He's opposing the far left Democratic Party incumbent, Jim McDermott.
Steve Beren is promoting conservative values, free market solutions, constitutional principles, and Republican policies right in the heart of Seattle and King County. Steve Beren stands for the GOP - the party of Abraham Lincoln - the party of Teddy Roosevelt - the party of Ronald Reagan. Steve Beren is running to help the overall effort of GOP campaigns in King County (www.kcgop.org), Washington State (www.wsrp.org), and nationally (www.gop.org). While the 7th congressional district is heavily Democratic, even a small incremental increase in the GOP percentage will make a difference in the overall GOP effort.
Here’s a video clip of Steve Beren on the June 23 edition of Fox News Channel’s “Special Report with Brit Hume”:
